When I had finished TRANSFORMED! and sent it off to my publisher, I innocently imagined that would be it: the book would be avidly read, and sales would rocket. The reality is not at all like that. But one thing I can tell you, is that every review written, I will read! And if you can read to the bottom of this page, you will understand how I came to write TRANSFORMED! The publishing reality of Amazon means that we are one amongst some 8000 books that get to be uploaded and available through Amazon, EVERY DAY! The only real way, apart from advertising, to get to best-seller status (which would be a dream come true for me) is that the reviews left by readers who have purchased the book help build the sales ranking and, therefore, the visibility of that book. And when others key in their search terms for whatever book they are looking for, the best-sellers are presented to them. Some 52,000 people search on Amazon monthly for “Best Books for Personal Growth”!

I never suspected any of this. And in a very real sense, none of this is about me—but You! My Journey to the freedom of finding meaning and purpose in my life from low self-esteem and the pain of rejection by others started through a breakout to writing TRANSFORMED! It began on an October evening in 2014 in Bristol, UK, when I attended a Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit video rerun at a local church. Amongst others there speaking were Don Flow, Joseph Grenny, Ivan Satyavrata, Louie Giglio, Erica Ariel Fox, amongst many, and last but not least, Carly Fiorina. Carly was for six years the world-wide CEO of Hewlett Packard. When she speaks, people sit up!

I can credit Carly for kickstarting my Journey. As I sat there watching the huge screen with around 25 others from my church (I had rounded them up and cajoled them into coming along for the two day event!), something came alive within me. Carly was speaking on Personal Potential being “the only truly unlimited resource on this planet”. It was one of the few times in my life that I was “barely able to breath”. Such was the impact and effect of realising for the first time in my life, EVER, that I had POTENTIAL (and you, the reader, are equally full of Untapped Potential) and realising I had potential that could be Released to the World, that I knew there and then that Unlocking Potential in Others was to be my Mission and Calling from God. I truly believe that “Something will come Alive in You!” Thank you, Carly, from the bottom of my heart. These books are the direct result of that evening when my world changed, and I discovered my Purpose: to seek to change the World, one individual at a time, for the better.
